Rather disconcerting...but funny

Must have stayed in bed too long this morning and was plagued by a rather strange dream about my ex... thought I'd share it with you because when I think about it, it was actually quite amusing:
For some reason we'd just got married (Eeek! that was the disturbing part) and it was supposed to be our wedding night and instead of spending the night with me he'd buggered off out to a gig! (I could actually just see him doing something like that) So I was left on my own with his mother, who kept coming in and out of the room, nagging me about stuff (again, probably very typical) and a very large dog that was on the bed and I couldn't get it to move.

Very strange, but I felt a bit disconcerted when I woke up... I wonder what it was supposed to mean. Judging by common sense, probably that my ex is a neglectful git with an annoying mother. Judging by usual so-called dream psychology, probably that I'm fond of jam and I'm a decendant of William of Orange!

Bloody work!

Hmph, on a stupid 1 til 10pm shift at work this week. I hate working these hours as it totally messes with my body clock and I'm knackered. Regretting taking another call centre job now I'm actually taking calls and having to deal with numerous silly demands from narky customers. Not to mention the acursed stats! However, having got rent to pay now I don't feel I have any choice in the matter.
Sorry this is such a whingy posting. Feeling rather tired and grumpy.
I'll probably feel better a week on friday when I finally see some pay and realise why I'm actually putting up with this

Blah

Just spent 4 hours drinking cider and trying to teach Henry how to whistle. It hasn't yet worked! And now he has gone to sleep. So just been pilfering some of Emma's cd's to listen to and found some of our old uni anthems that I'd all but forgotten!
A few lines from one of my favourites;

"I can't help about the shape I'm in,
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin,
but don't ask me what I think of you,
I might not give the answer that you want me to"

A prize to the first person who gives the correct artist and song title that those lines are from (I have to exclude Emma from this as I know she'll know the answer straight away!)

Bored

In the flat on my own just now as Emma has gone over to Scotland for a few days and nothing on TV except football. Should probably put some music on, it's too quiet in here, but can't really be bothered.
Work was mind-numbingly boring today, thought I was going to fall asleep when Garreth (our trainer dude) started going on about fare rules for the ten billionth time. He is obsessed with fare rules. I know how to check the fare rules Goddamnit!! In fact, it'll probably be the only thing I know how to do when we get on the phones next week.
Also feeling a bit fed up because I miss Adam and I can't really speak to him as he's got no phone at the moment (his charger is kaput) :-( And he never seem to be online when I am. Bah

Football, football, oh how I hate it

To my complete woe, the world cup has started today. Oh deep joy! *sarcastic tone* I cannot stand football, it bores the crap out of me, and the thought of putting up with it for....um, how many weeks? Makes me feel ill.
Even worse, I am totally skint so can't even buy lots of cider and get drunk to alliviate the pain (still 20 days until I get paid - grrr!)
Think I may have to go and throw myself off the balcony instead

On a more positive side, In training at work, I came top of my group in the end of week test today, I got 95%! God, I'm good (haha)

Good Weekend but Fed Up Now

Had a good weekend, Adam came over and stayed for the first time since I moved in and we had lots of fun and drank lots of cider.
Feeling a bit fed up today though, work was really boring and Adam went home yesterday *sigh* :(
Also I'm skint, I don't get paid til the end of the month and I have nothing to read! Grrr!
